ResumoObjective: Vaccination is the most effective way to prevent seasonal influenza and its severe outcomes.The objective of our study was to synthesize information on seasonal influenza vaccination policies, recommendations and practices in place in 2011 for all countries and areas in the World Health Organization's (WHO) Western Pacific Region.Methods: Data were collected via a questionnaire on seasonal influenza vaccination policies, recommendations and practices in place in 2011.Western Pacific Global Influenza Surveillance and Response System Influenza vaccine use in the Western Pacific Key: Shaded months are the reported peak months for influenza illness; v -vaccine available.NH -northern hemisphere formulation; SH -southern hemisphere formulation; "-" -influenza vaccine currently not available.* American Samoa and Tokelau reported unknown vaccination month(s).
