En anos recientes se ha incrementado la cifra de extranjeros en Uruguay. Algunos de ellos no responden al perfil tradicional del inmigrante, sino al del expatriado que, procedente del mundo desarrollado, se comporta como un nomade posmoderno. Dentro de ese complejo universo de extranjeros, los anglohablantes demuestran un notable dinamismo que se plasma en un espectro variado de registros. En este contexto, las narrativas digitales se constituyen en fuentes primarias para el estudio de la expatriacion desde la perspectiva vivencial de los sujetos que la protagonizan. Palabras clave : Fuentes digitales – Historia – migraciones – expatriacion - Uruguay Abstract In recent years, the number of foreigners in Uruguay has increased. Some of them do not respond to the traditional profile of the immigrant, but to the expatriate from the developed world, who behaves like a postmodern nomad. Within this complex universe of foreigners, Anglophones demonstrate a remarkable dynamism, reflected in a broad range of records. In this context, digital narratives constitute primary sources for the study of expatriation from the experiential perspective of its protagonists.
