ResumoA pesquisa na qual se inscreve este artigo tem por objetivo caracterizar o processo de elaboracao e implementacao da Proposta Curricular para o ensino de Santa Catarina. Trata-se de uma trajetoria iniciada em 1988, por um grupo de educadores que teve a tarefa de elaborar, sistematizar e disseminar essa proposta para implementacao nas escolas de Educacao Basica do estado. O estudo sobre esse importante processo esta sendo desenvolvido por intermedio da analise de documentos e da aplicacao de instrumentos de coleta de dados empiricos (entrevistas semi-estruturadas), o que envolve educadores e profissionais da Secretaria de Estado da Educacao. Como objetivos especificos, a pesquisa trata de tres aspectos dessa trajetoria que envolve aproximadamente 1.400 escolas e cerca de 40.000 professores, em 193 municipios do estado. O primeiro contextualiza o periodo vivenciado pela rede de ensino nas etapas de organizacao, discussao, sistematizacao, socializacao, capacitacao e aplicacao da proposta na pratica docente. O segundo identifica aspectos da percepcao que os proprios educadores que atuam na rede construiram ao longo dos anos sobre a Proposta Curricular. O terceiro objetivo especifico aponta alguns resultados evidenciados no campo da aprendizagem e da formacao dos professores no periodo. O texto do artigo traz apenas os resultados do primeiro objetivo. Ele descreve aspectos das diferentes etapas do processo de elaboracao da proposta ao longo desses 20 anos. Abstract: This article is inserted in a research that has the objective of characterizing the process of elaborating and implementing the Curricular Proposal of Santa Catarina State. This process was started in 1988 by a group of educators that have elaborated, systematized and shared the Proposal, for implementing it in Basic Education schools in this State. The study about this important process is being developed by analyzing documents and applying instruments for collecting empirical data (interviews partially-structured), involving educators and professionals from Secretaria de Estado da Educacao (Education Secretariat of State). This research is about three specific aims that are three aspects of this process involving approximately 1400 schools, near 40000 professors in 193 cities in the State. The first aim contextualizes the whole period experienced by the Learning Network at the phases of organizing, discussing, systematizing, socializing, training and applying the Proposal in the teaching practice. The second one identifies some aspects of the idea that the educators working at this Network were constructing during years about Curricular Proposal. The third specific objective shows some results evidenced at learning and professors’ training fields during this period. The text of this article brings the results of only the first objective. It describes some points of different phases of the Proposal elaboration process during the last 20 years. Keywords : Curriculum, basic education, knowledge, public policies.
