Resumo

In this article, the performance of the Death Squad in Sao Paulo, in the period 1968-1979, is studied through evidence able to enable the collaboration of the Brazilian government against the excessive use of police violence. Moreover, this organizational structure is designed for the extermination of common criminals, focusing its activities between 1968-1973, as well as discusses the attempts to promote accountability and compensation for crimes Death Squad Sao Paulo.
