Jet stretch during the formation of threads in the wet spinning process is characterized by means of a force-elongation diagram. Criteria to assess the spinning stability can be deduced from such a diagram with the help of the reserve of force and reserve of elongation by linking the breakage behaviour of the thread bundle in the spinning process with the deformation conditions that are technologically necessary. These results can be used to optimize the technology of the viscose fibre production.
