ResumoDigitalization of television is likely to transform deeply the basis of the industry, traditionally based in a handful of free-to-air, terrestrial broadcasters and funded by advertisers. It will also affect pay TV, as well as video distribution through the internet and mobile phones. This article poses the main regulatory questions Chilean society must face to secure more local production, better quality of content and the generation of new business models within a framework of convergence.
