Introduction: The anxiety and fear that follow the dentistry treatment are the factors most challenging the quality of work in the Pediatric Dentistry. Anxious children need good conditioning and longer time of clinical attendance to accept the procedures to be executed. Objective: To evaluate the applicability and effectiveness of Color Therapy to control anxiety in dental care for children. Methodology: The sample was made with 24 children, 5 and 6 years old in both sex. The anxiety was evaluated by the Venham Picture Test (VPT), showing the exact moment of the patient emotional state. Afterwards, the blue light adapted to the reflector was turned on and then followed by the same clinic procedure for all sample. At end of the procedure, the VPT was applied again. Results: The results confirmed by the percentage statistical treatment were that 50% of the children demonstrated positive results, 37.5% did not show any improvement and 12,5% complained against the test having not felt it comfortable. Conclusion: Thus, the techniques of handling the child behavior are a viable alternative, with low cost and great acceptance in conditioning the children, contributing for a great relationship among professional/patient/parent.
