This theme is approached using theoretical-conceptual and methodological perspective of popular education, sustaining that this allows to strengthen a pedagogic performance addressed for the democratization of the relationships between health services and population. Starts from a discussion on the concepts of health, disease and care as elements that sustain the pedagogic practice, examining some theoretical-methodological presuppositions of popular health education, debating them in the context of the organization of health practices and the agents’ work. It concludes supporting the valorization of critical education and the community agent's role as educator in transforming health practices and health model.
