ResumoThe debate on these new disciplinary approaches, featuring some sciences, among them the Public Health, involves introducing the concept of transdisciplinarity in the conceptual complex, this comes from the disciplinary and suffers successive change, including increasingly close connections between knowledge. The disciplinarity, multidisciplinarity, interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity are the foundations that guide the search for knowledge. In the field of Public Health, several authors have advocated the need for new paradigms to address different research questions in the scientific fields of health. This article seeks to establish the differences between the disciplinary concepts, addressing the applicability of transdisciplinarity in health practices, with an emphasis on teamwork through a literature survey in the Virtual Library database in Health and SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online. The very publication concerning the subject demonstrates the application of transdisciplinarity, where one can observe the approach taken by different professionals from various fields of knowledge reaffirming the need to apply the link between different disciplines.
