The Forno Port, located in the Enseada dos Anjos (Angels’ bay), at the municipality of Arraial do Cabo - RJ, is inlaid in the area of Marine Extractive Reserve, a sustainable use Conservation Unit, according to classifi cation regulated by 9.985/2000 Law, that established the National System of Conservation Units. Th e port was created in 1920, and until the present day, operates illegally without environmental permit for local companies, serving also as a support to oil operations in the Campos Basin. In this work the goal is to point out the possible socioeconomic and environmental impacts generated with the expansion of the activities of the Forno Port.
