The objective is to estimate the input-output matrix of Sao Bento do Sul / SC, identifying key sectors for economic and social development. Methodology was applied to Guilhoto and Sesso Filho (2005) for the year 2007, based on data from the IBGE and RAIS, being presented a preliminary view of the furniture sector. As a result, it was observed that the wood and furniture sector is important in global production and employment, however, does not appear as the largest generator of variables (multiplier of production, income and employment).
