From three years to now, the most attentive observers were able to check something new in the air of the medium-sized city of Pelotas, 259 kilometers from the capital Porto Alegre. The changes, apparently, were limited to new wires that were added to the existing ones of the State Electric Power Company (CEEE) and those of the Telephone Company Improvement and Resistance (CTMR). But the new cable that was extended between a post and an existing one would bring New Communication Technology to the homes and lives of the Pelotas who joined the system. It was arrived at the municipality of the service called Distribution of Signals of TV by Physical Media (DISTV). Or cable TV, as the system is known by everyone.
