Resumo

The multiple evaluation forms of erosive individual-storm for the national researchers are undeniable. Therefore, the criteria to classify the erosive individual-storm, used in rainfall erosivity factor, as well as to study the correlation of the EI30 index with the erosion soil losses, were investigated in Sao Paulo State, Brazil. To study, analysis of simple individual-storm in Campinas, Mococa and Pindorama Experimental Stations (IAC). To study the correlation, analysis of simple linear regression, between the rainfall EI30 indexes and the respectives soil losses, were done to research the necessary statistical treatments to the establishment of the criteria of the erosive individual-storm. The conclusive analysis, were destined to two purposes. In the first case, with a view to study the correlation of the EI30 index with the erosion soil losses, the following criteria must be used: 1) to compute the EI30 index for all storms equal or greater than 10.0mm; 2) to compute the EI30 index for storms of less than 10.0mm only if they to show a precipitation equal or greater than 6.0mm in 15 minutes, and 3) to compute the EI30 index for all storms with erosion soil losses and/or runoff. Otherwise, with a view to determine the rainfall erosivity factor (R), to use the following criteria: 1) to compute the EI30 index for all storms equal or greater than 10.0mm, and 2) to compute the EI30 index for storms of less than 10.0mm only if they to show a precipitation equal or greater than 6.0mm in 15 minutes.
