ResumoSingle phases of (, 0.05, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.95) samples were prepared by the thermal decomposition of the corresponding nitrates. Their photoluminescence properties were investigated UV and VUV excitation. Two broad bands were observed in the excitation spectra of monitored at 613 nm. One centered at about 157 nm was assigned to the overlap between the CTB of and the absorption of groups. The other from 180 to 293 nm was ascribed to the CTB of . The main emission peak was observed at in the emission spectra of under 254 and 147 nm excitation, which was due to the transition of . The emission intensity of the transition of decreased gradually with the increase of concentration in under 254 and 147 nm excitation, indicating that functions as an intermediate in the energy-transfer process from the host lattice to in .
