In the mycological survey of the Itapua Park (municipality of Viamao, Rio Grande do Sul State, south Brazil), some specimens of gasteroid mushrooms were collected and identified: Geastrum lageniforme Vittad., G. pectinatum Pers., G. saccatum Fr., G. schweinitzii (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) Zeller, G. smardae V.J. Stanek, Calvatia rugosa (Berk. & M.A. Curtis) D.A. Reid, Lycoperdon perlatum Pers.: Pers., Vascellum pretense (Pers.: Pers.) Kreisel, Mutinus elegans (Mont.) E. Fisch., Lysurus periphragmoides (Klotzsch) Dring, Scleroderma albidum Pat. & Trab. emend. Guzman, and Tulostoma exasperatum Mont. Among these, M. elegans is firstly reported from Brazil and G. smardae and V. pratense are new records for Rio Grande do Sul State mycobiota.
