A Qualidade da Água Fornecida à População e a Influência dos Impactos Ambientais Sobre o Lençol Aquático dos Poços que Abastecem a Cidade de Farias Brito – Ceará – Brasil

Este estudo foi realizado nas margens do Rio Carius, no perimetro urbano da cidade de Farias Brito – Ceara – Brasil. Ele faz uma descricao situacional do manancial aquifero, identificando os principais impactos ambientais que estao atuando na escassez e na ma qualidade do lencol d’agua que alimenta este sistema. O estudo foi realizado em tres etapas: levantamento situacional do entorno da area (margens) onde se localizam os pocos de abastecimento, seguido de uma pesquisa literaria no intuito de identificar teoricamente como os fatores de impactos detectados poderiam estar influenciando para a escassez e para a ma qualidade da agua deste aquifero; Em seguida foi feita uma visita ao escritorio local da Companhia de Agua e Esgoto do Ceara (CAGECE), com o intuito de identificar a capacidade de oferta de agua pelo sistema e como esta capacidade vem se comportando no decorrer dos anos (se vem aumentando, diminuindo ou permanecendo constante), e tambem com o objetivo de identificar como funciona a sistematica de abastecimento da cidade, alem de visualizar quais as medidas que a CAGECE utiliza para diminuir os efeitos da contaminacao e/ou contaminacao da agua para os consumidores. Por fim, foi realizada uma visita a Vigilância Sanitaria do Municipio no intuito de conseguir dados concretos sobre a qualidade da agua fornecida por este sistema de abastecimento. A destruicao da mata ciliar e assoreamento do rio, alem da presenca de efluentes domesticos e quimicos, sao os principais exemplos de impactos identificados que estao influenciando diretamente neste ambiente, conforme demonstram os resultados. WATER QUALITY PROVIDED TO POPULATION AND THE INFLUENCE OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS ON THE WATER OF WELLS sheet THAT FUEL THE CITY FARIAS BRITO – CEARA – BRAZIL Abstract This study was conducted on the River Carius, in the urban area of the city of Farias Brito - Ceara - Brazil. It is a situational description of the source aquifer, identifying the main environmental impacts that are acting in the shortage and poor quality of the water table that feeds this system. The study was conducted in three stages: situational survey the surrounding area (margins) where are located the supply wells, followed by a literary research in order to theoretically identify how the detected impacts of factors could be influencing the shortage and the poor water quality of this aquifer; Then he made a visit to the local office of the Company of Water and Sewage of Ceara (CAGECE) in order to identify the water supply capacity by the system and how this capability has been behaving over the years (it is increasing, decreasing or remaining constant), and also with a view to identifying how the system of city supply, and view what measures CAGECE use to lessen the effects of contamination and / or contamination of the water for consumers. Finally, a visit to the Municipality of Health Surveillance in order to get concrete data on the water quality provided by this supply system was carried out. The destruction of riparian vegetation and river siltation, and the presence of domestic and chemical effluents, are prime examples of impacts identified that are directly influencing this environment, as shown by the results.
