ResumoThis article presents a study about the literary space's exchange and obligation system in Brazil, during the 1920s and 30s. By comparing the system of edition of Mario de Andrade's and Jose Lins do Rego's first relevant books, it is shown the literary space's dependence upon the of friends - a social formation common in that period. The edition of the books Pauliceia Desvairada and Menino de Engenho is assembled from the writers, publishers, and others cultural producers' accounts, as well as the authors' own personal correspondence. Through these two writers' works, we are shown their own literary circles: grupo dos cinco (Sao Paulo) and roda de Maceio. It is analysed the importance of these groups for the development and independence process of the Brazilian literary champ.
