ResumoThe decay of $^{120}\mathrm{Ba}$ has been studied with an on-line isotope separator. Its half-life was determined to be ${\mathit{t}}_{1/2}$=24\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}2 s. A decay scheme is proposed, based on \ensuremath{\gamma}-\ensuremath{\gamma}, \ensuremath{\gamma}-X, and \ensuremath{\gamma}-${\mathrm{\ensuremath{\beta}}}^{+}$ coincidence measurements, which takes account of all 16 observed \ensuremath{\gamma} rays. The total decay energy was measured to be ${\mathit{Q}}_{\mathrm{EC}}$=50\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.3 MeV.
