Resumo

presente artigo busca analisar como o tema da Shoah e abordado por alguns textos da literatura de ficcao brasileira. A partir dos contos O retrato (1946), de Jaco Guinsburg, e minha cabeca suja, o Holocausto (1986), de Moacyr Scliar, o artigo pretende mostrar como, ao situar as intrigas no Brasil, a representacao da Shoah adota uma nova perspectiva, a do imigrante judeu, afastado geografica e culturamente da Europa. Ambos os textos sao narrados a partir do olhar do jovem ou da crianca. Two views on Shoah in Brazilian literature: an analysis of the short stories “The portrait”, by Jaco Guinsburg, and “Inside my dirty head, the Holocaust”, by Moacyr Scliar - Abstract: The present article aims to analyze how the subject of Shoah is dealt with by some Brazilian literary fictions. By studying two short stories – Jaco Guinsburg’s Retrato (The Picture) (1946) and Moacyr Scliar’s Na Minha cabeca suja, o Holocausto (In my dirty mind, the Holocaust) (1986) –, the article intends to show, when the plot is placed in Brazil, how the Shoah’s representation adopts a new perspective: the one of the Jewish immigrant, which is geographically and culturally far from Europe. Both stories are narrated by the point of view of a teenager or a child.
