When the smaller focal spot and a rotating grid were combined, resolution was practically equal to 2× magnification when the magnification process was performed using 100 mA. Image quality was further enhanced by 2× magnification when 50 mA was used. Air-gap reduction of scatter offered no advantage over a rotating 8:1 grid.Article HistoryPublished in print: Jan 1971 FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByIn vivo ultrasound arterial recanalization of atherosclerotic total occlusionsRobert J.Siegel, T.Anthony DonMichael, Michael C.Fishbein, JosephBookstein, LouisAdler, ThomasReinsvold, EugeneDeCastro, James S.Forrester1990Feb1 | Journal of the American College of Cardiology, Vol. 15, No. 2Reply by Authors1988Dec1 | Journal of Urology, Vol. 140, No. 6Basic Methods of Investigative Cardiovascular RadiologyM.Sovak, C.
