Resumo

Results are given for the 5th and 6th years of a field experiment on the effect of growing eelworm-resistant potatoes bred from resistant clones of S. tuberosum spp. andigena. Marked increases in the frequencies of biotype B (resistance-breaking) eelworms were found, and, following these increases, the total eelworm populations in the plots also increased. All the resistant andigena clones tested were resistant to biotype A and susceptible to biotype B. Resistance to biotype B and susceptibility to biotype A was confirmed for S. multidissectum and S. x juzepczukii.
