ResumoThere are gender-related differences both in the natural history of coronary artery disease (CAD) and in the response to revascularization strategies of patients with CAD. This paper reviews the specific pathophysiology of CAD in women as it influences outcome and current interventional and surgical treatment modalities and outcomes for stable and unstable coronary artery syndromes.
