ResumoA case of subdural hematoma occurred secondary to manipulation by a folk practitioner for fallen fontanelle (caida de mollera). This variation of the battered child syndrome should be a consideration when dealing with patients of Latin-American background because folk concepts of disease and their related "remedies" are sometimes important factors in case histories.
