ResumoIntra-axonal injection of HRP into physiologically identified rubrospinal neurons has shown that axon collaterals are given off at different cervical segments from stem axons. These collaterals spread in a delta-like fashion in laminae V–VII (occasionally in IX) and extend very widely in a rostrocaudal direction (1.0–5.1 mm).
