Since the clinical significance of these findings as well as their relation to chronic liver disease cannot be established with single measurements, liver function tests were carried out in 66 patients with severe hemophilia (factor VIII or IX less than 0.1%) three times at yearly intervals during regular follow-up visits at the Hemophilia Centre.Twenty patients who had serum alanine aminotransferase (SGOT) levels above the upper normal limit (20 mU/ml) at all three...References1.
