Resumo

This paper studies the influence of the work De clausura monialium controversia by Pedro Garcia Galarza in the novel Don Juan by Azorín.We conclude that Bishop Don García de Illán is Bishop Don García de Galarza and the city where the nuns are rebelling against the mandates of the bishop is Cáceres (Diocese of Coria-Cáceres).
