ResumoThe objective of this study was to analyze the level of fitness related to health (LFRH) of adolescent trainees of the State University of Maringá. It is characterized as a descriptive correlation study. The sample was constituted by 92 individuals (63 boys and 29 girls), between 16 and 17 years old. The study used the following measure instruments: a questionnaire to esteem the level of habitual physical activities (LHPA), fitness tests and anthropometric measures to estimate the LFRH. In the sample, 48% developed a good LHPA, 87% presented level of body mass index advisable to health, 52% good level of body fat and 67% good strength resistance. However, only 35% showed good flexibility and just 14% presented good cardiorespiratory resistance. The correlations between the components confirmed the importance of the regular practice of physical activities for the health, because the higher the level of habitual physical activities of the sample, the better the cardiorespiratory resistance
