ResumoDuring the 18th century the land surveying knew in Spain an unfinished process of institutionalizacion that laid the foundations of its further development. This process, which began in the ancient Reign of Valencia, provoked the successive aparition of local employment and the academic title of land-surveyor. The present work is focused on the circumstances wich took place in this process, as well as its limitations.
