ResumoBacteriologic and clinical features of 28 cases of traumatic marine injuries are described. The most common bacterial isolates were normal skin bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus and, in 11% of cases, Vibrio alginolyticus. All injuries responded to local wound care, and only half received antibiotic therapy.
