ResumoThe year 1993 may become known as the year individuals with learning disabilities lost special education services in the United States. For the first time since the enactment of P.L. 94-142 there is a strong national movement to place all students, regardless of disability, in the regular classroom. This movement has been “sold” to many advocacy groups as meeting these students' need to learn social skills from “normal” peers.
