Resumo

Ionic conductivities σ i of silver chalcogenides have been measured as functions of the temperature and the carrier concentration n i . It has been found that σ i is larger in bcc than in fcc by about 20% at the phase transition fce\( \rightleftarrows \)bcc, and ∂σ i /∂( e n i ) is several times larger than the mean mobility σ i / e n i . The latter is discussed in terms of the caterpillar mechanism.
