ResumoSUFFICIENT information exists concerning the prevalence and the incidence patterns of multiple sclerosis in North America1 , 2 so that communities can now be recognized and statistical documentation can be achieved where either excessive or low frequency rates are believed to occur. Intensive controlled investigations of communities with established high or low rates might lead to the recognition of variables of causative significance.
