ResumoInvestigations of the extraction systems TOAH+X−/benzene-InX3−HX (X Br and I) by means of loading experiments, IR spectroscopy and measurements of the specific conductivity χ revealed, that the compounds TOAH+InX4− (“1:1”-complexes) and TOAH+InX4−TOAH+X− (“2:1”-complexes) occur in the organic phase. Values of KBr = (1.4 ± 0.4) × 10−2andKI = (4.6±1.4) × 10−2 for the equilibrium constant Kx of the reaction TOAH+InX4−TOAH(org)− ↔ TOAH+InX4(org)− + TOAH+X(org)− were determined by IR absorbance measurements. A correlation between KX,χ and the position of the νNH absorption indicating a connection between the strength of the hydrogen bonds of the complexes and the extractability of the In(III) is explored. It also holds for the corresponding chlorocomplexes investigated earlier.
