Resumo

The discussion on employment and use of the terminology of geomorphological surfaces, and its recognition and significance in the evolving regional framework is quite debated in the literature geomorphological.In this work, we held a discussion about the conceptualization of this terminology, trying to link this approach geomorphological role of climate variations and tectonic events in the evolutionary history of a given region and to provide a summary of work that sought to define areas for Brazilian Planalto.
