Resumoview Abstract Citations (17) References (37) Co-Reads Similar Papers Volume Content Graphics Metrics Export Citation NASA/ADS Primordial Lithium and Galactic Chemical Evolution Audouze, Jean ; Silk, Joseph Abstract It is shown that current models of galactic chemical evolution constrain the time scale for synthesis of iron in old stars, so that observations of lithium in extreme metal-poor stars can be used to limit the possible astration factor of primordial Li-6. It is concluded that any nonstandard light element nucleosynthesis model which overproduces Li-6/Li-7 by up to an order of magnitude is severely constrained by generally accepted galactic chemical evolution models.
