ResumoThis paper describes the new anechoic chamber at the Laboratorio de Acústica y Luminotecnia of the Comisión de Investigaciones Cientificas de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (República Argentina) and the evaluation made to establish its performance. The chamber has a free working space of about 7 × 6 × 6 m. The evaluation made shows that the maximum deviation of the free field characteristics in the best path of measurement is less than 1.2 dB throughout the frequency range (80–6300 Hz). The background noise level is about 24 dB (C-weighting).
