ResumoTrimethylgallium and trimethylindium etherates have been prepared from GaCl3 or InCl3 and methyllithium as starting materials for the formation of adducts. A new method using triphenylphosphite was developed to get high yields of very pure trimethylphosphine. Trimethyl group III—trimethylphosphine adducts were formed by the reactions of trimethyl group III etherates with trimethylphosphine.
