ResumoIn the 1930's, the writer Oswald de Andrade renounces his modernist past and dived in the political militancy of the left, bringing up the Brazilian Communist Party. In this article are analysed some aspects of that moment of his intellectual trajectory since its renunciation of the artistic and literary vanguard to the abandonment of the PCB and its resumption of anthropophagy in the 1940's, culminating with the writing of his thesis The crisis of messianic philosophy.
