Neutron diffraction studies of the Ba3Ca1+yNb2−yO9−δ+xD2O high-temperature proton conductor

Resumo

Recently, a new long-range order was observed in the Ba3Ca1.18Nb1.82O9−δ+xD2O proton conductor, where x≠0. In order to get more information concerning atomic arrangements in these complex perovskite oxides systematic neutron and X-ray diffraction studies of the stoichiometric and non-stiochiometric compound with and without D2O were performed. Oxygen positions and oxygen concentration were determined.
