Abstract We present a fully sampled ^12^CO map of the inner 6.75' of the Scd galaxy NGC 6946 made with the 14 m atenna of the Five College Radio Astronomy Observatory. H I and B- and I-band fluxes measured in the same apertures as the CO emission are also given for comparison purposes. The CO emission is centrally peaked with a fairly smooth radial falloff. Smaller peaks in the CO integrated intensity are found in the northeast and southwest, toward two bright optical spiral arms. Analysis of the CO, H I, B- and I-band data is deferred to another paper.
