ResumoUsing experimental data on the imaginary part of the pion form factor obtained from the reaction ${e}^{+}$${e}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ up to the inelastic threshold ${t}_{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$\ensuremath{\omega} and a simple parametrization for it (respecting QCD constraints) at the range of momenta ${t}_{\ensuremath{\pi}}^{0}$\ensuremath{\omega}\ensuremath{\infty}, a direct compatibility check of the Cambridge Electron Accelerator and Cornell electroproduction pion-form-factor data with ${e}^{+}$${e}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$\ensuremath{\rightarrow}${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{\mathrm{\ensuremath{-}}}$ data is carried out. The analysis reveals no global incompatibility of the spacelike electroproduction data with the timelike data, claimed by other authors recently.
