There are, however, questions as to its mechanism and etiology that are still unanswered. This is our warrant for reporting three cases and for recording the results of a survey of the literature on this subject. We have endeavored to get facts as to the causes that excite its outbreak as well as to the nature of the heart disease which underlies this condition. This survey may also be helpful in an attempt to correlate these findings with a classification...Bibliography1. LEWIS T: Single and successive extrasystoles, Lancet, 1909, i, 382-385.
