Tópico(s)Catalysts for Methane Reforming
ResumoThe formation of C2 hydrocarbons from methane has been investigated by membrane process using an oxygen diffusion through the silver membrane. Oxidative coupling of methane over the silver catalysts has been studied. The results indicate that strongly bound atomic oxygen, formed by diffusion of dissolved oxygen to silver surface, is responsible for the formation of C2 products. Weakly bound atomic oxygen also can react to form C2 hydrocarbons but mainly it leads to complete oxidation.
