Resumo

The ferrocene-containing amidinate anion [FcC(NCy)2]- (Fc = ferrocenyl) is obtained by the reaction of N,N'-dicyclohexylcarbodiimide with FcLi in THF/hexanes. The lithium derivative reacts with 1/2 equiv of FeCl2 or CoBr2 to afford the trimetallic derivatives [FcC(NCy)2]2M·nEt2O. X-ray crystal structures of the Li, Fe(II), and Co(II) derivatives are reported.
