ResumoDNA from the B95-8 strain of Epstein-Barr virus was cleaved into 29 different fragments by BamHI endonuclease (EC 3.1.23.6). All of the fragments except the terminal fragments have been inserted into the pBR322 cloning vector and replicated in Escherichia coli. The location of each cloned DNA fragment in the viral genome has been determined, providing a more detailed physical map of the genome than has been available previously.
