ResumoThis article seeks to analyze some passages of Rerum Gestarum (XXI, 16; XXV, 4), by Ammianus Marcelinus, and Histories (VII 28; VII, 29; VII, 30), by Orosio, intending to compare their judgements on the personality and actions of the emperors of the fourth century a. D. It's possible to identity the christian and pagan Weltanschaaungen in both historiographic works. These paradigms point out to the conflict between the two different cosmovisions that divided the mediterranean world into two pieces.
