ResumoAttic tragedy gives an expressive image of social disturbance in contemporaneous Athens, a city in which persuasion played a prominent role.This article focuses on two sequences from Aeschylus' Eumenides that convey two different perspectives of peithô: one more rhetorical and technical, the other more personal and emotional.
