ResumoThrough the sol–gel process, a silicon–titanium inorganic–organic hybrid is synthesized and used as substrate to study the adsorption and spectroscopy of a europium luminescent complex: Eu(fod)3. The complex and silicon–titanium hybrid were mixed in stoichiometric amounts to produce samples with 1%, 5%, and 10% (m/m) of adsorbed complex, with the matrices being pressed at 380 mPa for 0.5, 30, and 60 min before spectroscopic analysis. It is verified that the intensity of the 5D0→7F2 emission band is dependent on the complex/nitrogen ratio and almost independent of the external pressure.
