Curcumin's Biomedical Applications

Abstract The essential oil of the leaves of Curcuma longa L. (Zingiberaceae) was investigated by GC, NMR and MS. Major constituents are α‐phellandrene (47.7%) and terpinolene (28.9%). The oil is composed mainly of monoterpenes.
