ResumoIn vitro heat levels of extruded thermoplastic guttapercha were determined in both a room temperature and 37°C environment. Levels of heat generated by the plasticized gutta-percha do not appear to be at clinically deleterious levels. Clinical parameters of material cooling and heat dissipation are also discussed.
